William (Bill) Kroll
Adjunct Instructor of Marketing
I consider it an honor to steward a small part of the MBA journey for Crummer students. I am passionate about helping students explore the importance of the theory and practice of B2B sales and business development. My favorite part of teaching is seeing students get inspired to succeed in their careers, maybe even in a different and more fulfilling way than they thought possible.
Professor Kroll is originally from Buffalo, NY, but has been a resident of Central Florida for 50 years. He holds a B.S. In Business Administration-Marketing from the University of Central Florida, and a M.A. in Corporate Communication and Technology from The Hamilton Holt School at Rollins College.
He had a very rewarding 26-year career in the consumer products industry, working for Colgate Palmolive Co in sales and sales leadership. He was part of several major global product launches, including a novel professional tooth whitening system that was launched in his region. During his tenure at Colgate he had the opportunity to become a corporate trainer leading courses for managers at various Colgate facilities focusing on providing effective coaching and feedback to their teams.
For the last four years, Professor Kroll has been teaching Personal Selling, an introduction to professional B2B sales, to undergraduates at Rollins College. At Crummer, he teaches Strategic Sales Leadership and has assisted MBA student teams with their capstone consulting experience (ICE).
Professor Kroll has conducted training for Crummer clients through the Management and Executive Education program. He is also an active member of the Sales Educators Academy, a global association of faculty focused on continually improving the quality of classroom and experiential education in professional sales for university students.
Professor Kroll also operates his own sales and sales management consulting business, Kroll Consulting Services, LLC, where he provides customized training and coaching for companies seeking to develop a high-performing, people-centric sales culture.
Professor Kroll is an avid automobile enthusiast, particularly Formula 1 and classic BMWs. Having grown up playing football and soccer, he is of course, a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan and a passionate supporter of English Premier League side West Ham United. He and his family have created many fond memories while traveling globally- including seeing the Hammers live in London! He also enjoys keeping fit doing yoga and strength training on a daily basis. You can often find him on campus supporting Rollins’ student athletes by attending live games, matches, and meets. (Go Tars!) Finally, Professor Kroll is the faculty advisor to the Rollins Hockey Team, which has been a club team but is now moving into Division Three competition as part of the College Hockey South Conference.
