Professional Development Event: Changemaking at Work

January 21, 2026 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

As an Ashoka U designated Changemaker Campus, Rollins believes everyone has the power to be a changemaker. Join Staff Director of the Rollins Social Impact Hub Melissa Nelson, Rollins Professors Dr. Jenn Manak and Dr. Anne Stone, and Assistant Dean of the Hamilton Holt School Dr. Doragnes Bradshaw ’18 ’20MBA ’24DBA as they lead a thought-provoking discussion and share practical tools to become effective changemakers in your communities and workplaces. Whether you are new to these concepts or looking to deepen your understanding, this workshop will empower you to think holistically and act with purpose toward a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world.

Changemaking isn’t just about solving problems, it’s about understanding global challenges and acting with purpose. Explore the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Earth Charter Pillars, and the fundamentals of systems thinking to see how these frameworks connect to building resilient communities and driving positive social and environmental impact. By applying these principles to your work, you’ll discover practical ways to create meaningful impact in your career and beyond.
