More Financial Aid Information
In order to receive financial aid at Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business, you must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). These standards apply to federal, state, and institutional need-based aid such as Direct Unsubsidized Loans; however, merit-based scholarships may require higher renewal criteria.
SAP Monitoring & Standards
The Office of Financial Aid will notify graduate students not meeting SAP by June 1 each year by mail to permanent address, email, and Foxlink notification. Qualitative and quantitative standards include:
Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 for classes taken at Rollins.
Successful completion rate of 67% of coursework (completion rate=completed hours/attempted hours).
Must complete the program before attempting over 150% of the coursework.
Suspension and Reinstatement of Eligibility
If you do not meet all SAP requirements, you will no longer be eligible for financial aid until you satisfactorily raise your GPA or completion rate to the minimum requirements.
If you successfully complete coursework that improves your Rollins GPA and/or completion rate, please notify the Office of Financial Aid once grades are available.
SAP Appeal Review
Students can appeal financial aid suspension once under mitigating circumstances. We encourage appeals to be submitted no later than one month before the beginning of classes to receive a timely decision.
- July 1st: appeals received after this date are not eligible for summer financial aid.
- November 1st: appeals received after this date are not eligible for fall financial aid.
- April 1st: appeals received after this date will not be reviewed for the current academic year.
Submitting an appeal does not guarantee approval of aid eligibility. The earlier you submit your appeal, the sooner you will know if your aid can be reinstated. Decisions are made after a careful evaluation of your unique circumstances, Federal Title IV regulations, and Rollins guidelines.
